Today’s artwork inspired the “Sea Glass” cocktail by DeVonn Francis, Founder and Creative Director of Yardy. If you’re able, per DeVonn’s request, please consider contributing to the Frontline Community Food Relief.
I felt really inspired to create a cocktail that was deceptively clear like water or glass but had a lot of complexity within the ingredients. The white rum and velvet falernum are both products of the Caribbean and featured in a lot of classic cocktails in the region. Nari has this really great way of making simple objects monumental and intimate so I wanted to make a drink that was seemlingly simple but complex in flavor.
Sea Glass by DeVonn Francis

.75oz dry vermouth
.75oz falernum
.5oz lime juice
Lime wedge for garnish
Directions:
Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir briskly for 30 seconds, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Add lime wedge to the rim as a garnish.
